The 10 Step Beginners Guide to Start from Scratch on Social Media
1. Define your goals
Before diving into the world of social media, it’s important to have a clear understanding of what you want to achieve.
Are you looking to promote your business, connect with like-minded individuals, or simply share your personal thoughts and experiences?
Understanding your goals will help you determine which platforms to focus on and what type of content to share.
For example, if you’re a small business, Instagram and Facebook may be the best platforms for you to reach potential customers and showcase your products or services.
If you’re a personal brand or blogger, Twitter or TikTok may be better suited for you to share your thoughts and connect with a similar community.
And if you want to build your personal brand fast, you may have to choose the audio app Clubhouse.
This is the social media platform where I have gotten the fastest results.
I get sales and clients every week via Clubhouse.
If you want to learn how to master Clubhouse, I recommend that you read my beginner’s guide to Clubhouse.

2.Collaborate with influencers
Collaborating with influencers in your niche can help increase your reach and
credibility.
Consider reaching out to influencers in your industry and see if they’re interested in working together.
The social media platform where I have achieved the most collaboration is on the audio platform Clubhouse.
On this platform, you will quickly connect with other like-minded entrepreneurs.
If you follow the unwritten rules and use the platform in the right way, it is possible to create collaborations that benefit all parties.
It is super powerful when someone else recommends you out loud and is a shortcut to getting sales of your products.

The e-book is written for Clubhouse beginners who do not have time to find out for themselves how to quickly achieve success on the app.

3. Be patient
Building a following on social media takes time.
Be patient and consistent in your efforts, and don’t get discouraged if you don’t see immediate results.
The key is to stay consistent, and the results will come.
After a longer period working with social media, you can check your metrics to see what works and what doesn’t.
After that, the task is to spend more energy on the things that actually work for you.
For example, if you have a post that gets extra attention, and likes you can use this information to create more in the same style.
4. Choose your platforms
With so many different social media platforms available, it can be overwhelming to decide where to start.
Some popular options include Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, Clubhouse and Pinterest.
Consider which platforms your target audience is most active on and start building your presence there.
Keep in mind that it’s better to focus on a few platforms and do them well, rather than spreading yourself too thin by trying to maintain a presence on multiple platforms that you can’t keep up with.
If you are not completely aware of where your potential customers are, you do not need to panic.
The truth is that there are lots of people on all the platforms and you can find customers wherever you are.
The right customers will be attracted to your personality and content over time. Consistency is the key!
5. Create a consistent brand
Your social media profiles should reflect your brand, whether it’s personal or business-related.
This includes your profile picture, bio, and the type of content you share.
Consistency is key, so make sure your branding is consistent across all of your social media profiles.
Use the same profile picture, username, and bio across all your platforms so that people can easily recognize you.
This helps to build trust and credibility with your audience.
6. Build a content strategy
Your content strategy should align with your goals and target audience.
Determine what type of content you want to share, and how often you plan to post.
Consider using a content calendar to help you stay organized and on track.
Plan ahead for upcoming events, holidays, or special promotions that you can incorporate into your content.
Also, consider what kind of tone you want to adopt on your social media profiles, whether it’s formal or casual, and stick to it.
7. Engage with your audience
IMPORTANT!
It´s called social media for a reason.
Social media is a two-way conversation, so make sure to engage with your followers.
Respond to comments and messages, and share other users’ content when appropriate.
Building relationships with your followers is key to growing your following.
The more you interact with your audience, the more likely they are to stick around, and even recommend you to their friends and family.
And the more you engage, the more the algorithm will push your content forward and give you visibility.
8. Use visuals
Visual content, such as images and videos, tends to perform better on social media than text-only posts.
Use high-quality visuals to make your content stand out and increase engagement.
Take advantage of the different types of visual content, such as images, videos, infographics, GIFs, and live videos to keep your audience engaged and interested.
If you are not familiar with Canva, it is definitely a tool that you should learn to use.
With Canva you can create awesome posts and with the pro version you can even schedule the posts for specific days and times.
9. Utilize hashtags
Hashtags make it easy for users to find your content.
Use relevant hashtags in your posts to increase visibility and reach a larger audience.
Research the most popular hashtags in your niche and use them to increase the chances of your content being seen by the right people.
This is what a hashtag looks like: #socialmediatips
10. Analyze your performance
Keep track of your social media metrics, such as likes, comments, shares, and followers.
Use this data to adjust your strategy and improve your performance.
Look at the metrics to see which posts performed well, and which ones didn’t.
This will give you an idea of what kind of content resonates with your audience and what you should be doing more of.
I would strongly recommend that you spend some time and energy checking your metrics consistent or get help with the help from an expert.
If you are in doubt about where to find an expert, I can recommend that you search for one on Fiverr.
Here you can find help for all forms of marketing and look at the reviews to see how skilled the individuals are.

In conclusion, starting on social media as a beginner can be daunting, but with a clear goal, a consistent brand, a solid content strategy and engagement with your audience, you’ll be well on your way to building a strong presence on your chosen platforms.
